Discussion of saving pictures from old auctions reminded me of this!
It's missing the neck, but it's an actual Adolphe Sax tenor in C! (of which there are very few known to be in existence.)
I just thought this was cool, I unfortunately am not rich enough to be the person to have bought it.

What a fascinating set of pictures. I wouldn't buy it without the neck though.

I'm kinda surprised that the bidding was that low, even though it needs a ton of work and it's missing the neck. That's an uncommon pitch for an A. Sax instrument.
