7/23/2017 – Polishing Keys at Home & Donations

On YouTube
“Gotta Love the Knowledge”

(1) I pulled in a page that wasn’t converted – Polishing Keys at Home.  This is located in the “Technical Info”, “Instrument Care” submenu.

Polish Keys at Home

I wrote this article years ago in June 2009.  I plan on making a short video of how to do this and posting it.  So stay tuned for that video for a demonstration of that.  They key to polishing keys at home is “less is more”  One cleaning the black gunk that you’ll see can get on the pads if you use even a bit too much polishing paste.  But read the article more for more information.

Apparently my donation page doesn’t work 100%.  It seems to work for me so I’m wondering it the problem is browser based.   So I’m working on that too.

Thanks for visiting.  I believe the website is close to what it used to be.  If there are any blank pages just email me and I’ll take care of it.

I did add a Donations page to help keep the website going, and provide more testing and everything.  You can read about it on the Donation Page http://www.woodwindforum.com/clarinetperfection/donations/

I’m also starting to do some videos which I’ll provide a link to and a menu option to get to.

The Website has many of the components of the old website.

Please sign in and leave a message (to see if that part works too).  One should be able to leave a post on any page.

There are a few links here and there that do not work but those will be corrected at some point.  Enjoy the serial number lists and comparisons, etc.  If there are new things that one wants to see just email/post a Note here and I’ll see if I can get to it.  Any loaners would be greatly appreciated too.

You’ll now find many pages are updated to the way the used to be.  With verbage, text and pictures.   It’s slowly coming around.  After I get all the previous content up and going I’ll have plenty to add.

I ran out of space on GoDaddy.com a long time ago so I barely added any new content.  We’ll see how much I can add here.

As you start seeing more information popping up it will first look unformatted.  I am importing my original pages into the Blog format, then I have to get rid of the miscellaneous code that is now irrelevant, then I have to add the pictures back in.

It’s a work in progress.

And as you have probably seen, the menus I’ve had to categorize them by segments of the alphabet as the blog format doesn’t do so well with long menus.

Welcome to the new website

Welcome and please wait as items get moved over to the new ClarinetPerfection.com

For your enjoyment, you can watch this over and over again until everything is completed.

ClarinetPerfection.com was originated back in 1996 as a desire to track information that I received from Leblanc USA about one of my clarinets, my Normandy 4 that I bought from Mr. Herb Couf, Royal Music back in 1978.

In 1996 I contacted Leblanc USA, after hours, and a nice lady faxed me a serial number list that they had.  The list was not in their computers thus no one else was given this list.  So I published it on the new website for everyone to have.  Then I went on a search for serial number lists of my other clarinets, and the website grew from there.

The website has been totally paid out of pocket since it’s inception.  I should have added Google Ads, or a Paypal button but never got to that level.  late in 2016 my Host company against raised my rates, and this time I balked, and did not resign, and thus found a new home for it here.

Please wait a while as i move the data over to the new format.  I am always collecting new information, and wouldn’t mind a donation here or there to help pay for some expenses (sooner or later I’ll add a Paypal button).

I am also collection alto and tenor Saxophone tonehole diameters for the entire horn for another project.  Those can be emailed to SteveSklar@gmail.com
